From Teaching A Dillo to Cross the Road

Male Monologue -two to three minutes

I work there because that’s what I get paid to do.  You want me work somewhere else?  Then you get a job and keep it longer than two weeks. 

I didn’t hire Hope; I can’t fire Hope.  I work with Hope because Chase pays me to work with Hope.  What happened eight years ago happened once; I hate that it happened but I have moved on because that’s the only thing I can do.  

Yes, I care about Hope.  Not because I want to sleep with her, but because she’s a nice person.  I like nice people.  People should be nice.  But I don’t “care about her care about her.”   She’s not my family.  You’re my family, May.  You’re the one I sleep with.
